Alfonso is the Global Head of Santander Private Banking International (SBPI) and CEO of BSI. He has more than 19 years of experience in the banking industry, serving most recently as the Group Head of Private Wealth and Head of the Commercial and Products Areas of BPI. Prior to joining Santander, Alfonso worked at Credit Suisse, Barclays and Bankinter, where he was responsible for developing the Private Wealth business model. Alfonso is a member of the BSI Board of Directors.

Alfonso holds a degree in law from the Complutense University of Madrid, and a Master’s in Business Administration (cum laude) from the IE Business School in Madrid. He has also successfully completed the Executive Program in Management and Leadership from the IESE Business School.
