Mr. Guitard joined the Santander Holdings USA, Inc. Board in June 2014. He was appointed to Santander Bank, N. A. Board in March 2016. Mr. Guitard served on the Banco Santander International Board from August 2016 until August 2022.

Mr Guitard, who currently serves as Head of Internal Audit of Banco Santander S.A., has been appointed Vice President of PagoNxt.⁽¹⁾ 

He has worked within Santander since 1999, also having served as Head of its Corporate Risk Division, Head of its Recovery and Resolution Plans Corporate Project, Head of its Corporate Legal Department, and Head of its Corporate Investment Banking Division.

He has been a Director of Santander, Banco Español de Crédito, S.A., and Banco Hipotecario de España.

Mr. Guitard received his law degree from Universidad Autonoma de Madrid.
